Product Description

Application

1. It is used as solvent for nitrocellulose, cellulose ether, synthetic resin and natural resin in chemical production. The pharmaceutical industry is used in the manufacture of phenobarbital. The pesticide industry is used in the manufacture of pyrethrum. The instrument industry is used to manufacture sealing fixatives. It is used as chemical reagent in analytical chemistry and electrolyte composition of lithium ion battery. It is also used for the preparation of special paint for vacuum tube. In addition, diethyl carbonate is an important reagent and carrier for organic synthesis.

2. Diethyl carbonate is a common carbonylation reagent, which can be used to synthesize ketones, tertiary alcohols and heterocyclic compounds. In addition, diethyl carbonate can also be used as alkylation reagent of siliceous carbonate and nucleophilic substrate.

The carbonylation of diethyl carbonate with carbon anion is usually used for the carbonylation of enol anion. The reaction conditions are mild and the yield is high. During the reaction, sodium hydride, potassium hydride, LDA (or their mixture) can be used as bases. At the same time, a wide range of substrates are selected, most of the molecules with electron withdrawing groups [such as carbonyl, cyano, ester group and enamine] can be acylated.

The synthesis of ketones and tertiary alcohols involves the direct reaction of metal organic compounds with diethyl carbonate to give ketones or tertiary alcohols, such as the synthesis of corresponding ketones from imidazole.

The alkylation or allylation of β - carbonyl ester, β - diketone, malonate, cyanide and nitro compounds can be alkylated or allylated with palladium triphenylphosphine as catalyst under appropriate conditions.

Many substrates can react with diesters to form heterocyclic compounds, such as 1,2-amino alcohol and diethyl carbonate to form oxazolidinones.

3. It is used as solvent and organic synthesis.
