Applications:
1. Used as a biochemical reagent, analytical reagent and complex indicator, colorimetric analysis to determine ferric ion. Determination of iron ore, coal char, and limestone as raw materials of steel. Intermediate for the manufacture of surfactants. Organic catalyst. Grease additives.
2. Used for cerebrospinal fluid test, urine protein and iron ion test. Reagent for determination of aluminum, beryllium, calcium, chromium, copper, iron, lead, magnesium, sodium, titanium, thallium, nitrate, etc.
3. Used as a color developing agent for the determination of Fe3+ by spectrophotometry, a masking agent for Al3+ plasma and a titration indicator for Fe3+. Also used as organic synthesis intermediates and grease additives
4. Used in cyanide-free silver plating solution.
