Product Description

Propylene carbonate is a colorless and odorless flammable liquid. It is miscible with ether, acetone, benzene, chloroform and vinyl acetate, soluble in water and carbon tetrachloride. The absorption of carbon dioxide is very strong and stable. It is prepared by adding propylene oxide and carbon dioxide under a certain pressure and then by vacuum distillation. It can be used in oil-based solvent, spinning solvent, olefin, aromatic extraction agent, carbon dioxide absorbent, water-soluble dyes and pigment dispersant.

Application:

1) Used as oily solvent, spinning solvent, olefin and aromatic hydrocarbon extraction agent, carbon dioxide absorbent, dispersant for water-soluble dyes and pigments, etc.

2) Used as gas chromatography stationary solution and solvent, and also used in the synthesis of high molecular polymers.

3) Used as UV curable coatings and inks.

4) Used as a solvent for synthetic fibers and other polymers, as well as an extractant, plasticizer, etc.

5) As an efficient solvent, it is used to remove carbon dioxide from petroleum gas, petroleum cracked gas, oil field gas and synthetic ammonia raw gas. It can also be used as a plasticizer, spinning solvent or water-soluble dye, pigment dispersant, oily solvent and Extraction agent for olefins and aromatics.
