Isothiazolinones is an efficient water treatment agent with excellent performance, good compatibility, and the ability to mix with various corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, most anionic, cationic, and non-ionic surfactants. The product commonly available in the market is typically a mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (CMI) and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MI), along with the addition of metal nitrite or metal nitrate to enhance stability and prevent decomposition.

Application:
1) Used to treat industrial circulating water, it has a bactericidal and algal killing effect. It is a widely used bactericidal and preservative that can effectively kill algae, bacteria, and fungi. This active monomer can be widely used in industries such as industrial cooling water, oilfield return tank water, papermaking industry, pipelines, coatings, paints, rubber, cosmetics, photosensitive films, and washing products.
2) Isothiazolinone is a highly efficient, broad-spectrum, and low-toxicity bactericidal and preservative with the main active component. Its active component can penetrate the cell wall of microorganisms and enter the interior of cells, and bind with the bases on the nucleic acids (RNA and DNA) of cells, thereby inhibiting or completely killing microorganisms. Due to the mechanism of use, the high efficiency and broad-spectrum of this type of product are guaranteed, and microorganisms are difficult to develop drug resistance. Pulp sterilization and anti-corrosion agents are produced according to the characteristics of the wet end of papermaking. They do not cause corrosion to equipment or damage to pulp fibers by oxidizing fungicides, and do not have a negative impact on the papermaking process. They can effectively improve the cleanliness of the paper machine, reduce brushing times, improve paper grade, and have a more significant anti-corrosion effect on the original color pulp.
